     I love fishing to the point i made it a business opportunity for myself.

 

     It all started in 2011 when my wife Katie wanted to go fishing with me. Not wanting to spend a ton of money on a fly rod she may very well never use again, i decided to buy materials to build a custom rod for her.

 

     It was hard to do and it was far from perfect. A 7'9" 3WT was produced and she still uses it to this day.

 

     And so Slinger Rods was formed. The name comes from a lifetime of baseball. From Tee ball all the way through college, I had a tendency to sling the ball almost sidearm. A nickname from family friends that still sticks to this day.
